With Sunday too being a holiday, the Akhanda 2 would cross the Rs 50 crore mark comfortably. In overseas too, Akhanda 2 opened to a good response. The film collected around $900K and is poised for better numbers in the weekend. Fans of Balakrishna are appreciating his performance in the action sequences and the devotional element in the story. With no big-ticket release around, makers are hoping that the film will find more love with a rise in theatrical footfalls.RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat heaped praises on Akhanda 2. Showing appreciation for the film, he expressed hope that more films that are rooted in values would arrive in theatres in the future.
